Unity
The universe is a big unit (Tai Ji or Tai Chi) and man is a small unit. The small unit should harmonize with the large unit. This harmony can be divided into three groups:
- All the organs of the human body influence each other. Even if only one of the body parts functions incorrectly or is in pain, then the whole organism becomes disturbed. Our mind and body are intertwined. If the spirit is compromised, our body will suffer.
- Man is also a part of the natural fabric and his health will vary depending on weather, season or habitat.
- Man is involved in a dynamic exchange with his environment. If we find ourselves among the people we love, we will be happier.
Confucius once said:
“If the person is stable, then the family is stable. If the family is stable, then the city is stable. If the city is stable, then the government is stable. If the government is stable, then the country is stable. If the country is stable, then the world is stable.”
